Established in 2003 and supported by US Department of Education Title VI funding, the Florida Network for Global Studies (FNGS) is a consortium of Florida universities dedicated to fostering activities that strengthen expertise and interest in transnational and global studies issues.

Effectively utilizing key active global studies programs already in place throughout Florida, FNGS aims to advance the exchange of information and analyses of economic, political, social and technological changes taking place in a increasingly globalized world. FNGS strengthens an awareness of such issues through research, curriculum development and multi-tiered outreach initiatives to the wider education, business and media communities, as well as the general public.

FNGS partner universities are committed to meeting the educational needs of Florida’s citizens through both on-campus and off-campus programs, holding lectures, workshops, and conferences throughout the State.
